Kennedy has been named vice president of business development and a member of the company's executive team reporting to Kenneth Munson, Sunverge president and chief executive officer.
Kennedy joins Sunverge Energy from SunPower Corporation, where he most recently served as general manager of the Rooftop Products Group. In that role, he managed a business unit responsible for world-wide product strategy and product development of SunPower's rooftop solar solutions for the residential and commercial markets.

Kennedy will be responsible for driving business deals and strategic partnerships with utilities, solar, software, and service providers, OEMs, and industry influencers. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions across engineering, marketing and business development functions, and has played an instrumental role in shaping products and markets in the renewable space.
