CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Search Solution Group, a national recruiting firm that specializes in headhunting, held a block party and fundraising event last week in their parking lot inviting fellow South End Charlotte neighbor businesses, restaurants, and breweries. The blistering dry heat that night didn't stop Search Solution Group from fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light the Night Walk in October.
With over 50 people in attendance at the event, more than $650.00 was raised and all of the proceeds went to LLS. Some of the South End Charlotte Companies in attendance were Bloc Design, Dragon Fly Capital, Barton Contracting, Brite Verify, Saturday, Pace Commercial, Schrader Design, LPL Financial, Doma Gallery, Symphonix Solutions, and Carolina Custom Millwork.
Neighbors of Search Solution Group who not only donated money, but beer, wine, food, tables and seating included The Unknown Brewing Co., All American Pub and Tavern on the Tracks. The band Ezra Root, who puts their own acoustic twist on some of their favorite songs as well as original songs, provided music for the event under a tree. To help capture the fundraiser's inspiring moments, Lauren Race, the owner of Elle Michelle Photography, donated her time and expertise for all the events photographs.
The event was decorated with the traditional Light The Night Walk lanterns on all tables as centerpieces for the fundraiser. Anne Reitzes, Deputy Executive Director of LLS, donated a majority of materials and Ashley Davis, member of the Carolina Chapter Board of Trustees of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Charlotte, was a top resource for the South End Charlotte fundraiser.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Their event for Light The Night Walk will be held on Oct. 18 at the Charlotte Knights baseball stadium. The event is a fundraising campaign which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the disease and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
