Solucion Azteca National Phone Drive to Assist Latino Voters is a Success!

GLENDALE, Calif., Oct. 27, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Azteca America conducted a 15-hour live phone bank from Los Angeles on Thursday, October 23 to answer questions from Latino voters across the country. Viewers nationwide were able to call 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (839-8682), a toll free number provided by NALEO, where 70 representatives from Latino organizations answered questions related to Latinos exercising their right to vote. A total of 80 live transmissions aired throughout Azteca America's programming during the 15 hours, with Alfonso "Poncho" de Anda, host of Venga La Alegria, Veronica del Castillo, Al Extremo anchor, and Marilyn Guzman, reporter from Azteca Dallas, encouraging viewers to call in with their questions.

A special thank you to the organizations that participated: MiFamiliaVota Education Fund, SEIU United Long Term Care Workers-Los Angeles, SEIU United Service Workers West, National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles for answering thousands of viewers' questions across the country.
