Call for Papers and Speaking Opportunities Now Open for the 2015 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC)


WEATHERFORD, Texas, Dec. 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) today announced the Call for Papers for the 31st annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC), July 20 - 24, in Hollywood, FL. The organization is seeking metrology experts to discuss applications of portable 3D coordinate measurement systems, scientific research and developments, technology management, industry best practices, measurement strategies, and other metrology-associated initiatives. The CMS will consider submissions for technical papers covering the practical usage of 3D metrology solutions, case studies, technology benchmarks, implementation practices and more. Commercial content is not accepted. The CMS is the eminent membership association for measurement professionals around the globe.

Abstract submissions for technical papers and presentations are due by March 13, 2015. Guidelines for presentations and technical papers can be downloaded at 2015 CMSC Guidelines. The CMS Executive Committee peer-reviews each abstract for presentation at CMSC 2015. Notification of acceptance will occur on April 13, 2015. The CMS Executive Committee considers all technical papers presented at the CMSC, then selects the top papers for publication in the prestigious Journal of the CMSC. Both technical papers and presentations will be published on the CMSC website for access by the CMS community. Conference registration and membership fees are waived for individual speakers presenting at the conference. In the case of multiple authors, the CMS will waive one conference registration and membership fee.
