RockYou Opens Its First International Studio in Bangalore

BANGALORE, INDIA--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2015) - Interactive media company RockYou today announced it has officially opened offices in Bangalore, marking its first international studio as the company expands its game publishing and advertising operations globally. RockYou India becomes the company's sixth office, with its headquarters located in San Francisco, California, and other regional United States offices in Chicago, Illinois; New York City, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Eugene, Oregon.

RockYou India supports the company's strategic growth plan of monetizing popular free-to-play games, with the office focusing primarily on game development and support for its dozens of titles. It will also support the implementation of advertising into RockYou games. RockYou projects the studio will reach more than 100 employees by the end of 2015 with consistent hiring across key areas including product management, design, engineering, QA, community management and administration.

The office is led by General Manager and VP of Operations Dayanidhi M G, who prior to RockYou was Managing Director APAC for video game developer and publisher, Digital Chocolate.
