Local IT Company Celebrates One Year in Business with a Tesla, New Goals

Company tripled in staff and clientele, earned $5 million over first year

ROCKLIN, Calif., Jan. 29, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Big Green IT, a Rocklin-based IT and business solutions company, already has many milestones to celebrate after just one year in business. The company, launched in January 2014 by tech industry veterans and brothers, Jeff and Mike Rogers, grew from a single office in Rocklin to three offices throughout California, tripling the initial size of the staff and accommodating more than $5 million in business.

"We're really proud that the way we do business has translated into tremendous success for the company," said Jeff Rogers, Founder and CEO of Big Green IT. "We want our customers to be wildly successful, and we ensure this by doing business in a genuine, efficient and trustworthy fashion — and we have a lot of fun while doing so."

This approach to customer service paired with Jeff Rogers' 30 years of leadership and technological experience — having founded another multimillion dollar systems integration company Steelhead Data in 2006 — has proven effective as evidenced in the company's client list. Big Green IT helps its clients, ranging from small local businesses to large corporations such as Gallo Corporation, with all of their IT needs, starting from identifying IT needs, requirements and budgets, through system integration and ongoing consulting to troubleshooting, and cloud migration—always with the aim to be efficient and "green" in practice.

This "very fast, very green" mantra is featured on the company's ecofriendly Tesla, a reward for the team reaching their $5 million goal. Wrapped with the company logo and a giant green frog on its hood, the car goes home with a different Big Green IT staff member each weekend.

"The Tesla is not only a testament to a successful first year, but also how we run our business," added Rogers. "We are real people who work hard and still make time to play—we're tight-knit with each other and our customers, who we love taking for rides in the Big Green Tesla or inviting over for margaritas. We want each customer to be a customer for life."

2015 goals for the company include surpassing the previous year's $5 million mark and finding new, fun ways to interact with potential and existing customers—plans which they will be detailing at the team's annual kickoff meeting at Disneyland this week.
