TCAA serves as the voice of Community Associations Institute (CAI) and others involved in community association living on legislative and regulatory matters. The role of the Advisory Council is to promote fund raising, encourage legislative participation and identify and develop future TCAA Board candidates.

Vela Mora has been in the community management industry for 17 years. She has earned the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) and Association Management Specialist (AMS®) designations from CAI, as well as the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) designation from the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB), an affiliate of CAI. Vela Mora is the San Antonio CAI president-elect and will take on the role of president in 2016, a position she has held before in 2013.
