OAHU, Hawaii, March 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa Hawaii is proud to announce that Senior Vice President of Business Development Kristi Hirota-Schmidt, CMCA®, AMS®, has recently been named president of the West Oahu Economic Development Association (WOEDA).
WOEDA is a private, non-profit organization that was formed by local businesses and community leaders in 2001 to promote West Oahu. Its mission is to be a voice for growth and economic opportunity in West Oahu by engaging in advocacy, education, and networking.

Hirota-Schmidt joined Associa Hawaii's business development division in 2006 and currently oversees sales and marketing for Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Lanai and the Big Island. She is the coordinator of all of Associa Hawaii's advertising and community outreach efforts.
Selected as one of Hawaii's young business leaders in the Pacific Business News "Forty Under 40 2009", Hirota-Schmidt also oversees Associa Hawaii's seminars and events. She serves on the board for the Institute of Real Estate Management and Toastmasters International, is involved with the Rotary Club of West Honolulu and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children. Hirota-Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Hawaii.
