As Medium Business of the Year, Bourbon Street was selected for their generosity and passion to the underserved in North Orange County, having helped to raise over 3M, directly raising $75,000, and providing in-kind food and restaurant-based donations of over $500,000. From feeding the homeless through the Coast to Coast Foundation, hosting annual special needs proms, serving as a location for work training for disabled young adults, catering countless Fullerton School District events at no cost in support of education, and being heavily involved in the Comedy Show for Autism at Fox Fullerton and the Mardi Gras for Autism in the Train Depot parking lot both in collaboration with Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation – Bourbon Street Bar & Grill is so much more than just a restaurant. Rather, this establishment has been an essential part of what makes downtown Fullerton the vibrant place it is today.

Additional honorees at the event include Large Business of the Year – Pacific Miniatures, Inc., Small Businesses of the Year - Fullerton Photographics, Inc. and Patty's Cakes bakery and Quality of Life Award - Assistance League of Fullerton.

Because assisting the underserved is such an important part of the culture of Bourbon Street Bar & Grill, all members to the management and staff are involved. Servers and Bartenders are frequently seen at the multitude of charity events that have a presence by Bourbon Street, always going the extra mile for those in need. Says restaurant co-owner John Skehan, "We are especially proud to be honored by the Chamber because we live and breathe this type of work, and it is truly a passion of ours. We thank the Chamber for recognizing us and thank all of our staff and patrons who make it possible."
