Missing Children Society of Canada and Calgarians To 'Raise Hope' at Annual Fundraising Event

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 8, 2015) - On May 14, 2015 the Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC) and presenting sponsor Richardson GMP will 'Raise Hope' at the annual gala event being held at Hotel Arts in Calgary, Alberta to celebrate and honour the families that the MCSC supports. In 2014, a record-breaking $130,000 was raised to support MCSC's continued efforts to reunite children with missing loved ones.

"The 'Raise Hope' event is an opportunity for MCSC to celebrate our courageous families as well as all of our valued supporters," said Amanda Pick, Chief Executive Officer of MCSC. "Our annual gala event helps significantly support our efforts to find missing children thanks to our corporate partners and individual donors who believe in keeping our children and communities safe."

MCSC is encouraging all Calgarians to come out for this incredible event produced by e=mc2 events and Hotel Arts. 'Raise Hope' will feature incredible food, a tablet bidding system that makes the silent auction easy and interactive, and an exciting live auction. Thanks to MCSC's Cares for Kids partner, WestJet, there are some incredible destination and experience packages being offered.

This year's emcee is the incomparable Doug Dirks from CBC. This year's keynote speaker is Judy Peterson; a mother who personifies courage and hope through the search for a missing child. Judy's daughter, Lindsey Nicholls, disappeared on August 2, 1993 and for 15 years, Judy actively advocated for a national missing persons DNA Databank which finally launched in 2014. Attendees will hear the powerful and captivating journey to fulfill a mission for all searching families and how Judy has never given up hope of finding her daughter.

Tickets are open to the public and you can find additional details on 'Raise Hope' at: http://mcsc.ca/about-us/events/
