BC Achievement Foundation: Creative Awards Open for Submission!

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 12, 2015) - The BC Achievement Foundation is pleased to announce the Call for Submissions for the following Awards:

The 11th Annual British Columbia Creative Achievement Award for Applied Art and Design - Artists working in jewelry, glass, wood, fibre, clay or metal among other media or who produce work in textiles, furniture, weaving, fashion or industrial design are eligible to enter the Carter Wosk BC Creative Achievement Awards for Applied Art and Design.

Up to three recipients will be awarded $2,500 each at a presentation and exhibit event this fall.

The 9th Annual British Columbia Creative Achievement Awards for First Nations Art - Sponsored by Polygon, this award recognizes First Nations Artists including carvers, printmakers, weavers, jewellers, painters and media artists working in either traditional or contemporary First Nations Art.

Up to five recipients will be awarded $2,500 each at a presentation event this fall.

Both awards are presented by the BC Achievement Foundation, an independent foundation established and endowed in 2003 by the Province of BC. To celebrate excellence in the arts, humanities, enterprise and community service.
