FAIRFAX, Va., May 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) has named Dr. Carl Buising chief medical officer for ManTech Health, the company’s federal health IT business unit. Buising will leverage his health domain knowledge and experience to help connect healthcare providers with advanced technology solutions.
Buising is a board-certified physician and proven health IT executive with over 20 years of experience in medicine and health IT. He joins ManTech Health from Leidos, where he was federal chief medical officer and lead clinical executive for military health programs. Prior to Leidos, Buising was executive director of health at Microsoft, president of I*MD Consulting, and a clinical informatics consultant for the Army medicine CIO. He started his career as a medical officer in the U.S. Army.
Buising received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California at Irvine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Md., and completed his residency in family medicine at the Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Ga.
