SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Funding Profiles announced a name change to Agylytyx, effective immediately. The Sunnyvale-based company also announced its new slogan - “Answers. Accelerated.”
In combining the words Agile and Analytics, the company chose a name that would reflect the market in which the company participates, the market that Garner calls “Governed Data Discovery.” Madison Laird, the company’s CEO, stated, “Our customers are looking for answers to help them make informed decisions.” The company also needed to choose a name that reflected their expanded market focus. He continued, “Our existing customers use our finance-oriented content, but many other companies are now looking at this engine as a way to tackle operational analysis – we needed to choose a name which reflected that fact.”
The Agylytyx Generator is essentially a template creation platform that allows users to create their own templates from built-in “building blocks” the company calls its Construct Library. Rahul Argade, the company’s CTO, explained: “The Construct Library approach creates two important benefits. The first is in the drill down approach. People often use that term today to explore data behind a certain chart or graph. Since our users have charts automatically built for them, our product features a far superior method for exploring multiple charts at once which we call horizontal drill down. The second benefit is governance. Governance is not just about making sure there is a control point for data which ensure everyone is using the same data – it is about making sure that everyone in the company is using the same charts to talk about the same data.”
