MITRE Hosts Mass Innovation Nights in Bedford

WOBURN, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2015) - Mass Innovation Nights and MITRE will collaborate on the 76th Mass Innovation Nights (MIN). The event will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:30 at the MITRE offices in Bedford (202 Burlington Road, Bedford MA). Mass Innovation Nights are free monthly product showcase and networking events in the greater Boston area. To attend, please RSVP.

"One of the benefits of participating in a Mass Innovation Nights event is connecting with other members of the local innovation community," said Innovation Nights co-founder Bobbie Carlton. "The startups exhibiting at this event will get the chance to connect with MITRE and vice-versa, as well as each other and the community at large."

As a not-for-profit organization that does R&D for the federal government, MITRE is hosting the event to better connect to innovative technology that they can share with their government sponsors as well as to showcase their own innovations.

"We're excited about meeting local entrepreneurs and learning more about what they're developing," said Peter Sherlock, MITRE senior vice president and director of Bedford Operations. "Also, since we don't commercialize products ourselves, we're always looking for well-established venues like Mass Innovation Nights where we can connect with companies who can take our innovations to market."

The products featured at the event all relate to the health IT and cybersecurity fields, significant focal points for MITRE. MITRE executives Barry Costa, Rob McCready, Robert A. Martin, Steve Foote, and Dan Hoag will be available to talk with guests who are interested in learning more about MITRE and discuss their health IT and cybersecurity industries.

The event is free to attend and open to the public. Guests are encouraged RSVP prior to attending and to support local entrepreneurs by helping to spread the word about the cool new products they see, either through a blog post, a Tweet, a Facebook Like, or simply by talking about it with a friend.
