Orphans Africa Hosts 3 Benefit Concerts in August

5 Bands Will Rock Swiss Pub in Tacoma August 9

TACOMA, Wash., Aug. 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orphans Africa will host three benefit concerts in August to fund its four schools that educate more than 600 students, including many orphans, in Tanzania.

"We are thrilled to host Dave Nachmanoff for two semi-private house concerts to benefit Orphans Africa," said Becky Pendleton Reid, OA board member. Best known as Al Stewart's (Year of the Cat) Lead Guitarist, Nachmanoff brings his unique blend of folk, country and pop music to benefit Orphans Africa.  Saturday, August 29th at 7 p.m. Dave will perform in Des Moines WA. Sunday, August 30th at 2 p.m., he will be in Bellingham.  VIP guests will meet the artist one hour before each concert and enjoy beverages, hors d'oeuvres and get an autographed CD (one per 2 tickets purchased).  Visit www.davenach.com to see Dave's award-winning video "Not What I Expected" and learn more about this world-touring artist. Financial Design Group is sponsoring these concerts, and all proceeds will go to Orphans Africa. Tickets are $40 and are available at www.orphansafrica.org. On Sunday, August 9th, The Swiss Pub & Restaurant in Tacoma will host a terrific group of local artists from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Join Dionvox, Planet of Giants, SweetKiss Momma, Q-Dot, and Northern Allies for a great afternoon and evening of music, dancing and family fun. All ages are welcome; adults only will be admitted to the bar with ID.
