HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Aug. 10, 2015 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will showcase key space and missile defense capabilities during the 18th Annual Space and Missile Defense Symposium at the Von Braun Center, Aug. 10-13.
The symposium's theme is "Integrated Air, Space and Missile Defense in 2025 and Beyond" and Northrop Grumman's exhibit is located in booth 701.

Symposium attendees can participate in a wargame, developed by Northrop Grumman under the direction of the Missile Defense Agency, to better understand the concept of operations for future ballistic missile defense system capabilities.

In its first flight test, the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) successfully destroyed a ballistic missile threat, taking a significant step toward the objective for IAMD. The IBCS is key to a revolutionized IAMD and crucial to the Army vision for an IAMD command and control capability across all echelons and AMD assets.

The Highly Adaptable Multi-Mission Radar (HAMMR) provides comprehensive situational awareness to protect the fighting force from current and emerging threats. HAMMR incorporates an Active Electronically Scanned Array fighter radar mounted on a ground vehicle or towable trailer to provide continuous 360-degree protection while operating on-the-move.
- Satellite Communications and Operations Planning Element (SCOPE) is an operations and network management software for satellite communications and ground station networks. SCOPE plans and manages satellite, terminal, link and device resources including modems, routers, amplifiers, antenna, beam-formers and phased arrays. It also monitors network health and status and the RF spectrum.
Dan Verwiel, vice president and general manager, integrated air and missile defense division, will be part of an industry panel, "Enabling Integrated Air, Space and Missile Defense in 2025 and Beyond."
