HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C., Aug. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chiropractor Dr. Brad Fraum, D.C. was named District 1 Director for the South Carolina Chiropractic Association (SCCA). District 1 encompasses the counties of Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper. As District 1 Director, Dr. Fraum will work to further the SCCA's mission to expand the role of chiropractic in health care, increase public awareness about the benefits of chiropractic care, provide quality continuing education to SCCA members, communicate on current trends and issues that are important to members, and advocate for legislative involvement. The District 1 Director term lasts for two years.

Since being named District Director on June 6, Dr. Fraum has participated in a board retreat for the SCCA, which took place in Blowing Rock, NC from July 16 to July 18. As part of the retreat, Dr. Fraum participated in team building activities, including a ropes course. The retreat focused on planning SCCA's events for the coming year and concluded with a banquet.
Dr. Fraum hosted the SCCA District 1 meeting on July 23 at Corks of Bluffton for Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton counties.

The Hilton Head Island chiropractor previously served as District 1 Director from 2001 to 2006. He was recognized as "District Director of the Year" in 2002.
