Associa Community Development Helps Feed Thousands


GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn., Aug. 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Volunteers from Community Development, Inc. (CDI), an Associa company, spent Friday, August 21 at Second Harvest Heartland in Golden Valley sorting and packaging enough food to create close to 6,000 meals.

"We understand the importance of improving our global community and of helping people who desperately need it," says CDI President Lance Govang. "We had such a wonderful time working with the fantastic staff at Second Harvest and cannot wait to volunteer again!"

The team of nine CDI employees helped package a total of 545 lbs. of green beans and 6562 lbs. of potatoes, for a total of 7107 lbs. of food. That figures out to be about 5933 meals.
