Firm Adds Two New Litigators: Sharon O. Sung and Cristina A. Guido


COSTA MESA, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 31, 2015) - Smiley Wang-Ekvall, LLP, a leading insolvency, real estate and business litigation law firm celebrating its first anniversary, is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys to its firm: Sharon O. Sung and Cristina A. Guido. Sung's and Guido's practice areas will focus on representing clients in all areas of business litigation.

Sung's practice area will focus on a wide range of complex matters including commercial real estate, finance, financial services and business disputes. Her experience includes all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute resolution, and she has obtained several multi-million judgments on behalf of clients. Prior to joining Smiley Wang-Ekvall, Sung served as assistant general counsel for three private real estate funds, managing their transactional and litigation department.

Sung earned her Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she graduated with honors and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in communications from the University of California at San Diego. During law school, she was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Products Liability, was a member of the Moot Court Team for the National Appellate Advocacy Competition, and a Runner-up Finalist in the Appellate Advocacy Competition.

Guido brings to the firm experience in civil litigation from inception through trial in both state and federal court. Prior to Smiley Wang-Ekvall, Guido was a member of a trial team that successfully defended a $24 million breach of contract claim in the United States District Court, Northern District of California.

Guido was a judicial extern to the Honorable S. James Otero, United States District Court, Central District of California, as well as to the Honorable Theodor C. Albert, United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California and received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School where she served as the managing editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review as well as co-president of the Women's Law Association. She earned her undergraduate degree in history from the University of San Diego.
