USO Service Project to Honor the U.S. Military and Commemorate the Anniversary of September 11th

Members of Congress will gather on Capitol Hill to assemble kits for America's service members

WHAT: The USO will host a Service Project on Capitol Hill to assemble hygiene kits that are distributed around the world to troops who need them most.

WHY: To honor the 14th anniversary of September 11th, the USO's service project will bring together members of Congress to show their support for America's military community. This particular service project invites Members of Congress to assemble hygiene kits which contain many of the items troops request most and will include a razor, towel, tooth brush, toothpaste, deodorant, a brush, lip balm and hair care products. The USO delivers theses care packs to troops around the world, including those who are currently serving overseas in Southwest Asia, who are in need of comfort and support from home.
