Velocity Technology Solutions Names Keith Angell President and CEO; Tom Bruno Will Serve as Vice Chairman


CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwired - Sep 15, 2015) - Velocity Technology Solutions, Inc., a global leader in cloud application hosting for enterprise software, has announced that Keith Angell has been named President, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Angell will focus on enhancing Velocity's industry leadership by further accelerating the company's global growth, enhancing customer and partner relationships, and advancing Velocity's innovative management and analytics platform for enterprise cloud-based applications.

Prior to joining Velocity, Mr. Angell was President, Global Services for Virtustream, a cloud managed services company that was acquired by EMC. Before Virtustream, Mr. Angell held a number of executive positions at IBM, including most recently as Vice President, Cloud Services Transformation with responsibilities focused on IBM's worldwide Cloud Managed Services. His previous IBM roles include Chief Revenue Officer for SoftLayer, an IBM company, and Vice President, Centers of Excellence for IBM's Global Technology Services. Prior to his time with IBM, Mr. Angell was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales for Corio, an applications service provider acquired by IBM in 2005. Mr. Angell has held senior executive roles for six venture or private equity backed technology companies. Keith earned a BS in Engineering from Duke University, an MS in Engineering from Northeastern University, and an MBA with Finance concentration from Louisiana State University.

Tom Bruno, the company's founder and outgoing CEO, will continue to serve on the Velocity Board of Directors as Vice Chairman and will be involved in Board activities and special projects.
