The Ahwahnee Announces 31st Annual Chefs' Holidays Event Lineup

Award-winning chefs share insights and savory dishes during cooking demos, evening receptions and gala dinners surrounded by stunning views of Yosemite in winter


YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif., Sept. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Ahwahnee, a National Historic Landmark hotel located in the heart of Yosemite Valley, announces the lineup for the 31st Annual Chefs' Holidays event series. Yosemite National Park's Chefs' Holidays event will be held over a series of eight sessions from January 10 - February 4, 2016.

Since the inception of Chefs' Holidays in 1985, this event series has allowed park visitors to enjoy a winter getaway at Yosemite National Park combined with a gourmet food and wine event. Each Chefs' Holidays session includes a "Meet the Chefs" reception, three cooking demonstrations and tastings in the hotel's Great Lounge moderated by culinary experts, a behind-the-scenes tour of The Ahwahnee's 8,000 square foot kitchen and a gala dinner prepared by the session's headliner chefs in The Ahwahnee Dining Room.

Special hotel packages for Chefs' Holidays are available at either The Ahwahnee or Yosemite Lodge at the Falls, which includes lodging, culinary demonstrations and tastings, a "Meet the Chefs" reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres, a behind-the-scenes kitchen tour and the five-course Chefs' Holidays Gala Dinner paired with wine in The Ahwahnee Dining Room. Packages start at $448 per person for accommodations at The Ahwahnee and $318 per person for Yosemite Lodge at the Falls.
