AURORA, ON--(Marketwired - September 21, 2015) - Today Bulk Barn Foods Limited, in honour of World Alzheimer Day, is participating in a corporate and franchisee dollar match promotion, benefiting the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
Visit any Bulk Barn location across Canada and when you donate $1, corporate office and their franchisees will each contribute $1, generating a total donation of $3. All of the money stays in the local community in which it was raised to assist with Alzheimer Society programs and services. The dollar match promotion marks the close of Bulk Barn's Coffee Break® fundraising program, which has been running since September 4, 2015.
Bulk Barn has proudly supported the Alzheimer Society Coffee Break® fundraiser over the past 11 years, with all of their stores participating annually. Since then, Bulk Barn has successfully raised over $1.9 million.
According to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, over 747,000 Canadians live with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias and that number is expected to reach well over one million in the next 20 years -- a fact that highlights the importance of this cause.
