Civitas Surpasses $500,000,000 in EB-5 Capital

1,000 Families from Around the World Choose to Invest in Civitas EB-5 Projects

DALLAS, Oct. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Civitas EB-5 Capital announces today that more than 1,000 families from overseas have invested in the company's EB-5 projects. Since its founding in 2009, Civitas has successfully subscribed more than 20 funds, investing in a diverse range of projects from hotels and multifamily to assisted living facilities for underserved senior citizens.

The EB-5 Program was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. In return for a minimum investment of $500,000 and provided that job creation requirements are met, investors are eligible for permanent U.S. residency.

Beginning with its first EB-5 investment in 2010, Civitas has sought to maintain the highest degree of integrity in order to ensure the success of each and every project. Finding the right projects is the responsibility of our underwriting team, which performs a rigorous institutional-quality financial analysis for each potential EB-5 project. Every year, hundreds of investments are screened to ensure that those selected not only meet EB-5 job creation requirements, but also Civitas' own stringent underwriting standards.

Once selected, each project is carefully and continuously supervised. As stewards of the assets our investors entrust to the firm, the Civitas asset management team closely monitors the progress of every Civitas EB-5 investment and has the resources and expertise to manage unexpected issues that may arise. Our deep experience mitigates risk for EB-5 investors. Everyone at Civitas understands the responsibility we have to our more than 1,000 investors, each of whom has not only invested capital with Civitas, but also to change their lives through the EB-5 Program.

"Civitas is pleased to have been able to help so many families achieve the dream of building a life in the United States," says Mr. Daniel J. Healy, Civitas Chief Executive Officer. "Reaching this 1,000 family milestone is the result of great teamwork. I want to thank all of our employees and partners who helped us achieve this goal, and I especially want to thank each of these investor families for their trust in Civitas."

From the start, Civitas has been comprised of professionals with experience managing money for sophisticated institutions that demand the highest level of quality and transparency. Through the firm's EB- 5 Capital division, Civitas collaborated with the City of Dallas Office of Economic Development to create the City of Dallas Regional Center (CDRC), a public-private EB-5 partnership that is widely recognized as among the most successful in the country. Building on the success of the CDRC, Civitas EB-5 Capital now manages regional centers throughout the United States as well as additional EB-5 public-private partnerships with the Texas cities of Fort Worth, El Paso, and Laredo.
