Watchfire Signs Seeks Submissions for 2nd Annual Digital Billboard Awards

The 2016 Watchfire Digital Billboard Awards are open to all agencies and advertisers with media buys on digital billboards from any manufacturer. Watchfire will look for creative ways that advertisers use the unique capabilities of digital billboards in the execution of their ads in 2015.

A digital billboard advertising campaign featuring live tweets and photos posted during the Penn State-Lehigh Valley commencement landed Tri Outdoor, Inc. of Bethlehem, Penn., the Best of Show award in the 2015 Watchfire Digital Billboard Awards. The "Onsite Tweet Penn State" campaign featured a clean and legible design that showcased live Twitter and Instagram posts.

"The Penn State campaign was highly interactive," said Jason Wilson, partner at Tri Outdoor. "A campaign that showcases the best use of interactive social media components and audience engagement is the perfect use of digital billboards. The award entry period opened January 6, 2016 and the deadline for submissions is midnight, March 23, 2016. Winners will be announced April 5 and trophies will be awarded. There is no cost to enter.
