OneNeck IT Solutions Completes PCI DSS Validation for Colocation Services

OneNeck's colocation services have been validated as compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) version 3.0 as a "Level 1" service provider.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 8, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - OneNeck® IT Solutions announced today the company's colocation services have now been validated as compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) version 3.0 as a "Level 1" service provider.

The PCI Security Standards Council requires any merchant who outsources the transmission, processing or storage of payment card data to a third party to verify the provider adheres to the standard. As a leading provider of colocation services, OneNeck has proactively completed assessment of the colocation services provided at their Tier 3 data centers in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon and Wisconsin. The standards OneNeck specifically focuses on receiving validation for include:

  • Restricting physical access to cardholder data and
  • Maintaining a policy that addresses information security for all personnel.

"This validation demonstrates we have the security controls in place to protect our customer's data," said Clint Harder, CTO and senior vice president at OneNeck. "Ensuring we are PCI DSS compliant and audit-ready, especially with the diverse geographic locations of our data centers, provides reassurance to our customers that we are ready and able to securely host their environments. Additionally, we work with our customers to deliver other PCI controls based on the specific cloud and managed services we provide them."

The assessment was performed by Shellman & Company, Inc., an independent CPA firm with extensive IT service provider experience. Securing PCI DSS validation follows last week's news that OneNeck completed the Type 2 SSAE 16 (SOC 1) examination.

In addition to managing and operating Tier 3 data centers, OneNeck also offers a full suite of hybrid IT solutions in order to provide customers with the right applications, at the right place and right time. For more information, visit oneneck.com.
