POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., March 22, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa New York recently began management of Harriet Tubman Terrace, a 250 unit garden-style apartment building in Poughkeepsie jointly operated by two local churches.
"When we learned that a property manager was needed, we knew we had to do something quickly for the residents and the community," said Associa New York President Fred Rodriguez. "We reached out to the board, which was very pro-active in wanting to partner with a firm with experience who could begin work immediately to advise and guide them during this transition period."
Associa New York began management on an interim basis on February 23 and has already started to oversee the complex and review and improve the practices instituted by its predecessor. Upon completion of a request for proposal (RFP) process, the board will consider who to hire on a full-time basis.
