Science and Technology Experts across all COCOMS, DARPA, and Key Members of DoD's CoI Join NDIA's 17th Annual Science & Engineering Technology Conference


ARLINGTON, Va., March 31, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is pleased to announce the lineup of speakers at the 17th Annual Science & Engineering Technology Conference which will include research, science and technology experts and decision-makers from the Department of Defense, including science and technology advisors for all nine Combatant Commands and key Department of Defense (DoD) members of the Community of Interest (CoI) steering groups. This annual event is taking place in Tampa, FL from April 12-14, 2016.

"We have intentionally structured this conference to provide to the attendees unprecedented access to the DoD S &T leadership," said James B. Chew, NDIA S &ET Division Chair. "In addition to the Service S &T and Community of Interest (CoI) leadership, the ASD(R &E), the new PD ASD(R &E) Ms. Mary Miller, and all the COCOM S &T Advisors will be in attendance and making themselves available for impromptu encounters throughout the conference."

Speakers and presenters include Dr. Melissa L. Flagg, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Research and Engineering; Mr. George Duchak, Director, DIUx; Dr. Steven Walker, Deputy Director, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); Mr. Stephen Welby, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, and additional experts from government agencies.
