Travaille and Phippen Generates Savings with Vista Solar's 366kW Solar Solution

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 31, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Travaille & Phippen, a California almond producer and distributor, has been working with Vista Solar to create a 366kW solar solution. With the new solar installations, Travaille and Phippen can expect to offset 79.51% of their energy bill and become cash flow positive from year 1. Their 366kW solar solution is estimated to generate 535,214kWh annually and is expected to save $3,255,123 over the next 25 years.

Based on the Environmental Protection Agency's calculations, 535,214kWh is equivalent to 813,632lbs of carbon dioxide. Which is the same amount of carbon sequestered by 303 acres of U.S. forest in one year! Or to put it in another perspective that is equivalent to the carbon dioxide emitted from the consumption of 41,528 gallons of gasoline.

Vista Solar's Senior Project Developer Brian Brogan shares his experience collaborating with Dave Phippen, the co-owner of Travaille and Phippen and board member of the Almond Board of California, "it was a pleasure working with Dave Phippen. Through tracking down the information on the previous energy system, we determined the best fit was to add two more rooftop installations."

Dave Phippen likewise shares, "we appreciate that Vista Solar brought our new solar system on line in the time allotted from the beginning our discussions. This allowed for an uninterrupted harvest season free from construction activities and a new system up and running as we were bringing in the 2015 almond crop. We are looking forward to the energy offsets generated by our newest system while we anticipate the 2016 almond crop."
