New York Employment Attorney Joins Sedgwick LLP

Michael Yim Latest Addition to Firm's Labor and Employment Practice


NEW YORK, May 2, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sedgwick LLP is pleased to announce that Michael Yim has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office. Yim concentrates his practice in non-compete/trade secret, wage and hour, and cross-border executive mobility and compensation.

With more than 10 years' experience in labor and employment law, Yim has repeatedly been recognized as a "Rising Star" and has successfully represented and counseled clients in a variety of employment-related matters throughout the country and abroad, including wage and hour class actions.

His experience includes defeating two consecutive applications for a temporary restraining order on behalf of a California modeling agency client in a non-compete dispute, counseling a Europe-based fine arts company in an executive relocation and reduction in force issues, and litigating wage and hour class actions on behalf of high profile restauranteurs.

He is an active member of the American Bar Association, New York Bar Association, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and is a board member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York. Yim earned both his J.D. and his bachelor's degree from Fordham University.
