Smiths Medical Joins NPSF Patient Safety Coalition

Membership program aligns diverse stakeholders committed to improving health care safety


BOSTON, June 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF), a central voice for patient safety since 1997, is pleased to announce that Smiths Medical, a leading global manufacturer of specialty medical devices, has joined the NPSF Patient Safety Coalition.

The NPSF Patient Safety Coalition is a growing community of stakeholders from across the continuum of care aligned in the mission to make health care safer for all.

Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with operations and sales in more than 120 countries, Smiths Medical provides innovative and lifesaving solutions found in hospital, emergency, home and specialty care environments, and used during critical and intensive care, surgery, post-operative care, and for support in managing chronic illness.

Coalition members gain valuable opportunities for networking, learning, and knowledge sharing through quarterly webinars, an annual member meeting, special projects and events, and other high-value activities.
