Global EOD Symposium & Exhibition to Examine Training and Technology Requirements for Joint Service EOD Force

ARLINGTON, Va., July 5, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), in partnership with the EOD Warrior Foundation, will hold its annual Global Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Symposium & Exhibition at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in North Bethesda, MD from August 2-3, 2016. This two-day event will highlight training and technology requirements for the joint service EOD force, interagency interoperability, and will include a Technology Outreach event with the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency.

"In this era of evolving threats, it's vitally important that all in the EOD community are aware of the latest innovations and technology, and this event provides the opportunity for that collaboration," said Mark Sanders,Principal at R3 Strategic Support Group and EOD Symposium Chair, "This year we will also proudly recognize the 75th anniversary of the EOD community and will honor EOD veterans of past conflicts to include Vietnam, Korea and the Gulf War."
