WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va., July 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First Citizens Bank is providing 1,000 hot meals to help people impacted by the historic flooding in West Virginia. The Greenbrier County community is invited to a free barbecue lunch on Thursday, July 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the First Citizens Bank White Sulphur Springs branch, 686 Main Street East.

A catering truck from Bill Ellis’ Barbecue in Wilson, N.C., will set up in the back parking lot of the branch in downtown White Sulphur Springs. Plates include barbecue, fried chicken, sides and iced tea. First Citizens associates will be on hand to help serve lunches. The free take-out meals will be offered until they run out.

“This has been an unprecedented event for West Virginia, and we want to show we care,” said Debra Callison, the bank’s area executive for the state. “First Citizens is committed to putting its communities first.
