SafeBreach Named a Finalist for Most Innovative Startup by Dark Reading's Best of Black Hat Awards Program

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 20, 2016) - SafeBreach, a leading innovator of continuous security validation, today announced that it has been named one of three finalists in the Most Innovative Startup category for Dark Reading's inaugural Best of Black Hat Awards Program. The winners of each category will be announced in a brief ceremony at Black Hat USA in Las Vegas on August 3, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. PT in the Business Hall Theater A of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

For nearly two decades, Black Hat -- known as one of the world's most well-known IT security conferences -- has featured the best in security research and leadership. It wasn't until this year that companies were given the opportunity to be recognized for their technological developments and for thinking outside of the security box. Dark Reading's Best of Black Hat Awards will recognize three categories of achievement this year: Most Innovative Startup, Most Innovative Emerging Company and Most Innovative Thought Leader.

"Congratulations to SafeBreach and all finalists of the Best of Black Hat Awards. For Dark Reading, one of the best things about Black Hat is the creative minds and organizations we find there," said Tim Wilson, editor-in-chief and co-founder of Dark Reading. "The conference session rooms are packed with security researchers who think creatively, and they get great recognition for the vulnerabilities they discover. But we've also seen a ton of creativity on the Black Hat exhibit floor, and we wanted to recognize that innovation as well. The Dark Reading Best of Black Hat Awards are a way of flagging those companies and executives who are changing the way the industry thinks about IT security."

In its second year exhibiting at Black Hat, SafeBreach has been selected to present on its security research. SafeBreach Co-founder and CTO Itzik Kotler and VP of Security Research Amit Klein will present, "Crippling HTTPS with Unholy PAC" on August 3, 2016 at 4:20 p.m. in Mandalay Bay BCD. Kotler and Klein will demonstrate how an attacker can use malicious proxy PAC file to leak URLs even when users are using secure web browsing protocols like HTTPS.
