American Portfolios Recognizes Top-Earning Investment Professionals at Firm's 2016 Honors Conference

HOLBROOK, NY--(Marketwired - September 30, 2016) - American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. (APFS), a privately-held, independent broker/dealer that services financial advisors across the country, recognized one of its highest tiers of top-earning investment professionals at the 2016 Honors Conference, held from July 28-31, 2016, in Washington D.C. The conference is the firm's distinctive way of recognizing those advisors and managers who had exceptional performance in business during 2015.

"The Honors Conference was presented for the first time in 2015 as a way of acknowledging a distinctive group of affiliated financial professionals demonstrating commendable efforts to build sustainable practices through AP's alignment initiatives," said APFS CEO Lon T. Dolber. "Such dedication is vital to the mutual success of AP, its affiliated colleagues and the end-clients for whom they serve."

Just as with its Leaders Conference, which was held this past May in Manhattan, N.Y., APFS feels privileged to honor the hard work and commitment of its top-earning financial advisors and managers. Qualifications for the APFS Honors Conference were based on gross production during the 2015 calendar year for the firm's top affiliated colleagues, ranked six through 10, in the following four business categories: overall production, Offices of Supervisory Jurisdictions (OSJs), those conducting advisory business within the firm's corporate Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and those conducting advisory business as an outside RIA.

This year's Honors Conference was held in the nation's capital, where attendees were treated to three nights and four days at the upscale Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, located in Arlington, Va. This exclusive event provided opportunities for attendees to build upon their achievements, exchange ideas with their peers about industry-specific topics and learn of best practice solutions for creating efficiencies in their business. "As always, we look to find ways to enrich an advisor's business and connect with those who value the relationship they've chosen with us," said President of Sales and New Business Development Tim O'Grady. "These connection points are vital in our business, and we look forward to having many more of these in a variety of ways with our valued affiliated colleagues in the years to come."

In addition -- and to offer these top-ranked managers and producing advisors the time to relax, recharge and return to work renewed -- the four-day weekend offered attendees the opportunity to visit D.C.-area landmarks, including The United States Capitol building, Arlington National Cemetery and the Smithsonian museums. Guests also enjoyed panoramic views of the capital during a welcome reception at Top of the Town and a banquet held at the National Air and Space Museum. The conference was capped off with the Honors Dinner, which featured a full military presentation.
