NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sean O’Neil, Vice President of Enterprise Architecture at Optum IT and Owner of Rapid eCorp International LLC, has been selected to join the Industry Board at the American Health Council. He will be sharing his knowledge and expertise in the areas of Information Technology, Application Performance, and Healthcare.

Mr. O’Neil has been active in the healthcare industry for the last 20 years. Inspired by his grandfather who ran USAID agriculture projects in many countries around the world, Mr. O’Neil set out to design systems to help the world’s most vulnerable populations through a better healthcare system. He received his BA in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota in 1995.
Optum, the Health Services platform, focuses on helping improve the healthcare system itself, including population health management and care delivery, and improving the clinical and operating elements of the system.

His long-term goals include building a foundation to ensure a stable funding source for the Rapid eCorp Pharmacy Management System.
Mr. O’Neil attributes his success to the passion he has for the work he does and a desire to make a difference in healthcare. His day-to-day responsibilities include creating Pharmacy Management platforms and mobile/SMS banking systems.
He is a member of the Performance Engineering Roundtable and involved with the Antique Motorcycle Club of America.
