Bridging the #DiaperGap this Holiday Season

Jet.com and National Diaper Bank Network team up to help nonprofit organizations and families access clean diapers

NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Earlier this year the White House addressed the #DiaperGap in America and reached out to Jet.com, bringing the problem to Jet’s attention. To help launch the Give a Pack program this holiday season, Jet.com joined YourUpdateTV to discuss the #DiaperGap and how anyone can help fix the divide.

1-in-3 American families lack sufficient access to diapers and report not changing their child’s diaper as often as they feel they should. The poorest families in America pay twice as much for diapers as wealthier ones do and for low-income families, high diaper prices at local corner stores force them to choose between buying diapers versus other essential items.

Jet.com responded to the White House with a meaningful solution—the Jet.com JetCares Community Diaper Program, which launched in spring 2016. The JetCares Community Diaper Program gives enrolled nonprofits serving low income families access to purchase quality diapers at a sustainable price advantage.

This holiday season give the gift of caring with Jet.com and the Give a Pack Program. Customers can donate to over 150 participating nonprofits by adding a donation amount to their order on Jet.com. Many organizations participating are affiliated with major national organizations including the National Diaper Bank Network, Salvation Army, United Way, and more. The Give a Pack campaign launched this Holiday season– and will be available on an ongoing basis.

In this video, the National Diaper Bank Network discusses the need and how you can get involved. For more information, visit Jet.com/JetCares.
