Constellis Awarded Two Department of Homeland Security/Federal Protective Service Contracts

Reston, Va., Aug. 02, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Constellis, a leading provider of operational support and risk management services, announced that it has been awarded two Department of Homeland Security/Federal Protective Services (DHS/FPS) contracts to provide security services at federal locations throughout the Philadelphia Metropolitan area and Northern California. The two awards brings Constellis’ DHS/FPS division, which includes Centerra (a Constellis company) contracts, to over 1,250 officers with operations in New Jersey, Maryland, Oklahoma, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and now California and Pennsylvania.

In June, Constellis was awarded the DHS/FPS security contract to provide 418,000 annual hours of armed security services at 40 federal buildings and locations throughout the Philadelphia Metropolitan area. Adding an additional 230 security officers to Constellis’ DHS/FPS division, the security contract services the heart of DHS/FPS’ East Coast operations. Constellis officers will be tasked with the day-to-day protection of senior DHS and FPS executives and the facilities they work in.

Additionally, Constellis was awarded the DHS/FPS contract for Northern California in March 2017. After the recent denial of the incumbent’s protest, Constellis has begun the transition to assume operations on the contract. The DHS/FPS Northern California award represents 420,000 annual hours of armed protective security officer services in 125 federal locations throughout Northern California, adding another 250 security officers to Constellis’ DHS/FPS division and expanding its footprint to the west coast of the United States.

Constellis has been making great strides in the expansion and diversification of its service-offering over the past several months, acquiring Centerra, a leading government and critical infrastructure services company, in April and AMK9, the leader in K-9 security services and training, in June. Additionally, earlier this week, Constellis announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation, a leading provider of protective and investigative services. The planned acquisition will significantly enhance Constellis’ service offering to include sophisticated technology and consultative solutions while expanding its domestic presence.

“With our recent acquisitions and now the addition of these two awards, we are excited to enhance our domestic security portfolio and continue to expand our presence across the U.S.,” said Jason DeYonker, Constellis’ chief executive officer. “Constellis has proudly served DHS since 2005 and our growing DHS/FPS partnership serves to further demonstrate our relentless commitment to the U.S. government as the preeminent provider of security services both domestically and abroad.”
