ReachLocal Wins Silver MEA Award

Company recognized for successfully helping ASC English School meet their enrollment goals through the use of latest digital marketing techniques, including Facebook

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Nov. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ReachLocal, a leader in enabling online marketing for local businesses and a part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is a Silver winner in the 2017 Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award (MEA) competition for their work with ASC English School. Working with ReachLocal, ASC English School was able to connect with international students using the latest digital marketing techniques including Facebook, top search engines, and directory listings.

“Receiving the MEA means so much to all of us at ReachLocal. This project has been gratifying in many ways and the MEA is the pinnacle. We really enjoy working on projects that make a difference in people’s lives and help improve business functionality and success. We’re proud to say that the ASC English School project does both,” said Joshua Markham, Senior Vice President of Product Management for ReachLocal.

ASC English School’s primary marketing challenge was a lack of online visibility among international students. ReachLocal was enlisted to create a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to meet the school enrollment goals. As a direct result of ReachLocal’s expertise, ASC English School has seen a surge in applications and attributes up to one-third of its student registrations to the successful campaign.

The Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award responds to a common need in the marketing and advertising sector: to acknowledge the contribution of results and messaging and the achievement of the marketer’s business goals. The Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award is unique to other award programs because it reinforces that the goal of marketing communications is to change, influence, or reinforce an audience’s knowledge, attitudes, or beliefs. During the 2017 event, judges analyzed submissions and selected only 6% to receive the top spots. Submissions for the award came from the following thirteen countries: Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, India, Nigeria, Singapore, Republic of Korea, South Africa, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

“Marrying creativity and effectiveness can be a difficult task, so winning a Summit MEA is a significant achievement,” said Jocelyn Luciano, Executive Director for the Summit Awards. “The combination of experienced judges and our tough criteria ensures that only deserving submissions receive Summit MEA recognition.”
