Scanship Holding ASA, through its subsidiary Scanship AS, reports an all-time high orderbook at approx. 460 million NOK at yearend 2017.
This year's order intake for Scanship has been dominated by larger total clean ship contracts at Fincantieri and STX France on the newbuild series of Virgin Voyages, MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line. The company continues its success with supplying clean tech solutions for the cruise industry.
"This large Fincantieri contract announced on the 20th of December is an important step in securing growth, and provides good forward visibility", says CFO Erik Magelssen in a statement.
"We are all excited about delivering growth, and our latest contracts is an outcome of long time efforts in working together with shipowners and shipbuilders for sustainability at sea", says CEO Henrik Badin in commenting this year's flow of orders.
