Alertable: New Public Emergency Alert Solution for Canadian Municipalities

CALGARY, Alberta, Feb. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Arter Kirkwood & Associates (AKA) and NetAlerts are pleased to announce Alertable, a new public emergency alert service for Canadian municipalities to notify of disasters and hazards in their communities.

The public receives alerts by a free Alertable mobile app for iOS, Android and Web and by Alertable social media pages on Facebook and Twitter. Combined with recorded phone message and text alerting solutions that municipalities may already have, the Alertable app and social media pages help emergency managers reach more people. For municipalities only wanting to alert via app and social media, Alertable easily stands alone to satisfy that need.

With Alertable, emergency managers can send different severity alerts including drinking water advisories, chemical spills, essential services outages, road closures and even wildfires, floods and tornadoes. Alerts can be sent in English and French and the Alertable app meets Federal and Provincial accessibility guidelines.

Alertable is FREE for Canadian municipalities to use for sending drinking water advisories. Alerts for other type of disasters and hazards can be sent for a low monthly fee.

More information about Alertable is available at https://www.peasi.com/products.
