EDISON, N.J., Feb. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- This evening, New Jersey State Senator Troy Singleton will receive the “Good Guy” Award, presented by the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey. Singleton, who is also Director of Operations at Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC), will accept the award during a ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The event, which will honor four other recipients, recognizes Singleton for his work throughout the state of New Jersey and for his dedication in bettering local communities, creating job stability and focusing on the needs of the state’s working families. Singleton, who was recently sworn in as a New Jersey State Senator representing the 7th Legislative District, is an active member in his community and contributes to a number of projects like the Habitat for Humanity.

As the Director of Operations of NRCC, he is responsible for the implementation of special projects including: the NRCC Scholarship Fund that provides school scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Union carpenters; Citizen Carpenter Program, which annually recognizes carpenters who contribute to their community; and overall Council operations, such as ensuring NRCC facilities are outfitted with the latest technology.
