Students Offered $1000 Scholarship For Engaging with Government Process

US Federal Contractor Registration Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

St. Petersburg, Florida, Feb. 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

In an age where government news is ubiquitous with current events, a company in Florida is engaging students with their knowledge of government inner workings. Specifically, the company, US Federal Contractor Registration (USFCR), a firm that specializes in establishing entities for government contracting is asking students how federal procurement works. In exchange for quality responses the company is offering up to six scholarship rewards worth $1000 each. The deadline to submit an application is May 1, 2018.

The Eric Knellinger Presidential Scholarship is becoming an annual tradition for US Federal Contractor Registration who is growing their award pool from 2017. Last year, they awarded three students with $1000 scholarships. This year, they are prepared to award six if they receive enough quality responses.

Applicants must be college bound high school seniors or currently enrolled college students, attending a two- to four-year program. An original essay over 500 words will qualify these students for a chance to win the scholarship. The essay should respond to one of the following questions:

  • How does the government work with government contractors?
  • Which types of businesses are best positioned to receive and fulfill government contracts?
  • What are some key factors business owners must keep in mind when deciding to become government contractors?
  • Based on the last few years, what types of trends do you expect to see in available government contracts and opportunities

Applicants should answer these questions with a specific career path in mind. This will help each essay to be unique.

Giving aid to students in the form of scholarships to help them fulfill their goals is an extension of the USFCR mission. The company is determined to help their clients and employees take large goals and make them possible. Extending this philosophy to all students is a natural evolution of their workplace culture.

USFCR is the world’s largest third-party government registration firm. Although many of the government’s services are public access systems, they can be confusing and time consuming for businesses attempting to break into the market. USFCR acquisition specialists offer advice for communication with federal agents and strategy for positioning entities toward the best opportunities. USFCR case managers are then able to register companies on their behalf in all the tricky government systems to make them eligible. As an added bonus, USFCR designers and marketing experts ensure a business is able to present and organize their information in engaging ways. They work with all types of private sector businesses, organizations, institutions and government agencies to simplify the federal procurement process.

Responses to The Eric Knellinger Presidential Scholarship essay question must be over 500 words and are due by no later than May 1, 2018. The scholarship is open to high school seniors and students enrolled at and attending either a two- or four-year college or university.

USFCR intends to award the scholarships by no later than May 31, 2018.
