Monobank ASA: MONO-ME Monobank nominates new members of the Board of Directors


The nomination committee of Monobank ASA (MONO-ME) proposes Øyvind Oanes and Torhild E. Torgersen as new members of the Board of Directors. The proposed changes to the board will be resolved at the Annual General Meeting on March 5th, 2018.

Øyvind Oanes is the CEO of Numbrs Personal Finance AG, a Swiss FinTech with operations in Germany and the UK. Prior to joining Numbrs, Øyvind spent 18 years in the Financial Services industry with focus on Retail Banking and has held senior roles in multiple countries across Europe. This includes building a consumer finance business for GE Capital in Russia, driving the turnaround of Austria's Bawag PSK and leading RBI's direct bank ZUNO across the CEE region. Øyvind has also held several non-executive roles at various financial institutions. 

Torhild E. Torgersen has for the past years worked actively to implement the Design Thinking methodology in Norway. Regulatory changes within the financial sector in combination with changes in customer behavior, has led to an increased need for customer understanding and - orientation. Torgersen been a driving force behind the initiative to establish a master program within Design Thinking as a collaboration between four Norwegian universities.

Øyvind Oanes and Torhild E. Torgersen will replace Anders Silkisberg who stepped down from the Board last summer and Sølvi Tangen who steps down after two years as member of the Board of Directors.
