ThousandEyes Continues Growth and Expansion as Digitization Dominates Global CIO Agenda

Growth in Digital Business Fuels Need for Network Intelligence to Manage Digital Experiences

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ThousandEyes, the Network Intelligence company that delivers visibility into every network, today shared year-end results and key accomplishments from its fiscal year 2018. As digital business and transformation initiatives further increased enterprise reliance on the Internet, ThousandEyes nearly doubled bookings and revenue in domestic and international markets, adding Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers at a rapid clip as global CIOs and network teams demanded visibility into the fragmented, Internet-centric networks powering their digital businesses. ThousandEyes also announced key industry partnerships, two new office locations, additions to the leadership team and several new product innovations, demonstrating measurable growth across every aspect of the business.

"The defining challenge that enterprises face today is in making sure they deliver compelling digital experiences that rely on the Internet—that erratic set of infrastructure, networks and services they don’t own or control," said Mohit Lad, CEO and co-founder. "The pace at which we’re seeing Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies adopt ThousandEyes demonstrates the criticality of Network Intelligence and applying a data-driven approach to planning, deploying and operationalizing digital services delivered across that ever-shifting Internet landscape."

Strong Business Growth Across Domestic and International Markets

Customers continue to validate ThousandEyes Network Intelligence. The company brought on hundreds of new customers, including 12 new Fortune 500 customers and 31 of the Global 2000. ThousandEyes now counts eight of the top ten global software companies, and five of the top six U.S. banks as customers.

ThousandEyes opened two new offices in London and Tokyo as international demand for Network Intelligence continues to increase in response to both digital business and transformation initiatives, and continued adoption of cloud. According to the latest press release from IDC* summarizing their Worldwide Semiannual Public Cloud Services Spending Guide, in 2018 “the United Kingdom and Germany will lead public cloud spending in Western Europe at $7.9 billion and $7.4 billion respectively, while Japan and China will round out the top 5 countries in 2018 with spending of $5.8 billion and $5.4 billion, respectively.”

Building a World Class Executive Team

ThousandEyes made two significant additions to the executive team in the past year. Paul Kizakevich was named senior vice president of worldwide sales. Before joining ThousandEyes, Paul spent seven years at CA Technologies, most recently as senior vice president of global sales for their Continuous Delivery Business Unit. Prior to CA Technologies, Paul held leadership positions at Accenture and Consonus Technologies. Also, Alex Henthorn-Iwane joined as vice president of product marketing. Alex brings more than twenty years of experience in enterprise and carrier networking, security and software, building global marketing and product teams. In previous roles at both Kentik and QualiSystems, he oversaw worldwide marketing, and at Packet Design Inc. he led both marketing and product management.

“Many of the world’s most recognized brands rely on ThousandEyes to help them deliver an exceptional experience for their customers, partners, and employees,” said Paul Kizakevich, senior vice president of worldwide sales at ThousandEyes. “This is a truly unique opportunity because of the unrivaled visibility and insights ThousandEyes provides into business services traversing the global Internet, empowering companies to optimize their revenue-generating online services, increase enterprise cloud deployments, proactively address cybersecurity, and ultimately turn their digitization strategy into action.”

Committed to Serving Customers Through Innovation and Partnerships

ThousandEyes announced a number of new partnerships, programs and product capabilities in fiscal year 2018:

  • A strategic partnership with Juniper Networks to provide insights into network performance and application delivery across the changing hybrid wide area network (WAN) of service providers and enterprises.
  • ThousandEyes announced a new release for enterprises adopting unified communications as a service (UCaaS) applications. • Device Layer, a new capability that adds network device health context to ThousandEyes Path Visualization was released enabling organizations to automatically discover and analyze the impact of device health on application experience.
  • Expanded support from ThousandEyes for insights into IPv6-enabled networks enables enterprises to effectively plan, manage and ensure business continuity during these inherently complex network transitions caused by the need to accommodate dual-stack approaches and sheer magnitude of addresses.
