Dome9 Adds GDPR Readiness Bundle to its Public Cloud Compliance Engine

New Compliance Suite Helps Organizations Meet New EU Regulations Ahead of May 2018 Deadline

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dome9 Security, the public cloud security company, today announced the availability of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Readiness Bundle as part of the Dome9 Compliance Engine. The new compliance suite allows customers to quickly and easily assess whether their public cloud environments comply with the security requirements of the EU GDPR and accelerates the time to compliance with the EU regulation’s security requirements, allowing organizations to be prepared when it goes into effect May 25th, 2018.

The Dome9 Compliance Engine offers comprehensive compliance management in public cloud environments. In addition to assessing the compliance posture of their cloud environments, customers using the Compliance Engine can identify risks and gaps, fix issues such as overly permissive security rules and weak password policies, enforce compliance requirements and prove compliance in audits. The built-in GDPR Readiness Bundle now offers out-of-the-box assessment and ongoing monitoring for compliance with the security requirements of GDPR.

Dome9 offers powerful visualization, control and active cloud protection capabilities that help customers manage GDPR compliance in their public cloud environments:

  1. Visibility into cloud assets and security policies by region
  2. Asset visualization on a geographic map to understand where personal data may be processed
  3. Ability to list all assets outside a certain region and to continuously monitor and be alerted on exceptions
  4. Out-of-the-box compliance test suites for frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, HIPAA and PCI that serve as an excellent starting point for achieving the technical and operational requirements necessary to prevent a data breach under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

“GDPR creates huge compliance challenges and carries heavy penalties for non-compliance, so it is not surprising that it is a top-of-mind topic for many businesses today,” said Ofer Elzam, vice president of product management at Dome9 Security. “Organizations are realizing that, though they are not themselves located in the EU, they need to become GDPR compliant because they do business in Europe or work with European partners. The Dome9 Arc platform greatly simplifies the process of achieving and maintaining compliance by providing better visibility into where data is stored, and by automating security and compliance assessments.”

The new compliance bundle is available immediately, and is free to existing customers of the Dome9 compliance module under the Enterprise plan.
