World Housing Solution Launches New Branch - Clinics on Wheels - Deploying Portable Relief Clinics to Puerto Rico

These clinics are the first off-the-grid medical units that will remain on the island to service and relieve those affected by Hurricane Maria

ORLANDO, Fla., May 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- World Housing Solution Inc. (WHS) today announces its all-new division - Clinics on Wheels, which is focused on providing portable, medical units to those seeking relief from natural disasters and devastating situations.

“As a company founded on providing safe, sustainable, and reliable structures, and expeditionary solutions for the military and those in need, this new branch - Clinics on Wheels - creates a new way to provide quality medical facilities and solutions to victims in disaster-stricken areas,” said Ron Ben-Zeev, CEO of World Housing Solution. “While displaced because of natural or man-made disasters, victims can be exposed to diseases and infections and don’t always have access to high level medical care – we wanted to help solve that problem.”

These custom designed and engineered mobile clinics will serve as a general medical clinic with x-ray, an OB-Gyn/ pediatric clinic, and a dentist’s office. These clinics are the first of their kind, are able to run off-the-grid, feature ADA compliant ramps, and are easily transported by standard pick-up trucks. These units come equipped with some of World Housing Solution’s leading, military-quality designs and features, including the integration of Elastic Grid™ which features a solar/batteries/generator power system. The units also incorporate superior insulation, leveling capabilities, and hurricane resistance.

Through funding from FEMA and purchased by the Department of Health of Puerto Rico, Clinics on Wheels is sending the three facilities to the island of Vieques, in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. All three clinics will be long-enduring and feature the revolutionary Sherwin-Williams Paint Shield® the first EPA-registered microbicidal paint that kills greater than 99.9 percent of Staph (Staphylococcus aureus), MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), E. coli (Escherichia coli), VRE (Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecalis) and Enterobacter aerogenes on painted surfaces within two hours of exposure, and continues to kill 90 percent of bacteria for up to four years when the integrity of the surface is maintained.

“We’re always looking for ways to further revolutionize solutions and better serve those who are affected by disasters,” adds Ben-Zeev. “We are proud to help our fellow Americans who have suffered because of Hurricane Maria, and provide them with the medical facilities they need.”
