Agrible® Launches Improved Agricultural Technology Platform to Aid in Making Farm Business Decisions

Champaign, Ill., May 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Agrible, Inc. has launched an improved website featuring a new look and feel, upgraded technology, and new features designed to help growers and retailers with proactive decision-making both during and in between growing seasons.

The Illinois-based company specializes in providing detailed agronomic information using science and technology to transform field-level data into actionable decisions. With this launch, users will benefit from simple account navigation and new views.

For instance, with a few clicks, all farm data is displayed in a clear, holistic way. With a quick snapshot of a grower’s entire operation, users can compare fields and determine what is critical across the total farming operation and drill into details faster. Another added benefit is the ability to share farm data with advisors, retailers, crop consultants, and bankers, resulting in faster service and saved time for the grower.

New interactions with the Nutrient Engine, Yield Engine, Tractor Time, and Field Forecast platform tools allow a bird’s eye view of any farm operation, regardless of size. “This is our first major release for 2018, and it is a perfect example of where Agrible is heading for our customers,” said Paul S. Miller, Ph.D., Co-founder and Chief Science Officer of the company. “This new platform and its mobile-first usability provides growers with the insight needed to make quick decisions across all devices.”

Users with an Agrible account can also tap into the most accurate and robust weather data, with long-range, short-term, and local weather analysis to fill in weather gaps and apply weather data directly to agronomic conditions and decisions.

“Tractor Time now features even more accurate field workability status and soil temperature data, especially for no-till and minimum-till fields,” said Brent Trenhaile, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of Technology at Agrible. “A newly-added residue model replicates the effects of the post-harvest residue cover on water infiltration, evaporation, and thermal cycling of the soil. The residue model not only mimics the natural decay of residue, but it also automatically reduces the residue based on tillage events and other field activities recorded in Field Story.”

Trenhaile adds that these features more accurately reflect soil workability under high-residue management conditions. “This allows maximum accuracy for each specific field by reflecting the variation of tillage practices across your farm,” he said.
