OTTAWA, June 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The votes are in, and Ontario’s Worst Road for 2018 is Burlington Street East in Hamilton for the second consecutive year. CAA’s annual campaign also revealed that the worst road for the region of CAA North & East Ontario is Letts Cemetery Road, Eganville, followed closely by Maley Drive, Sudbury. Maley Drive placed fourth in the all-Ontario Top 10 Worst Roads in 2017.
"We’re pleased to say that work has already begun to repair Letts Cemetery Road and will continue over the next several months," says Andrew Sprunt, Chief Administrative Officer/Operations Manager, Township of North Algona Wilberforce. "We attribute the road’s condition to past material placement, as well as excessive speed on the road and heavy truck traffic."

More than 3,500 roads were nominated from all over Ontario, the highest number since the campaign’s inception 15 years ago.
