4C Expands Board of Directors with Appointment of Former Verizon Executive Marni Walden

CHICAGO, June 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 4C, a data science and marketing technology company, announced today the appointment of Marni Walden to the company’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Walden has more than twenty years of experience in the media and wireless industry, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and President of Global Media and New Business at Verizon Communications Inc., where she reported directly to the Chairman of Verizon and was a top five officer of the corporation. Ms. Walden led the corporate strategy team which included acquisitions and investments through Verizon Ventures, including the acquisitions of AOL and Yahoo, ultimately forming Verizon's media and advertising business Oath. Ms. Walden is also a vocal advocate for closing the corporate gender gap.

“4C is leading disruption in the marketing industry, paving the way for a new, audience-centric approach to connect with customers across screens,” said Ms. Walden. “I’m honored to join 4C’s Board of Directors to fuel further growth and market leadership as the company changes the way marketers reach consumers through television, social, digital, and mobile.”

“4C’s position as a leading innovator in marketing and media is growing as we build on our roots in data science and deepen our audience-based marketing solutions,” said Dr. Alok Choudhary, 4C’s founder, Chairman, and Chief Scientist. “Marni’s proven track record of creating thriving business units and innovating for long-term success will contribute greatly to 4C’s Board of Directors and business strategy.”

Prior to her most recent position, Ms. Walden served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for Verizon Wireless. As CMO she was responsible for all marketing initiatives and the management and development of mobile products and services. This included brand management, media buying, agency management and website integration across Verizon Wireless.  Ms. Walden is also the Chairwoman of Globetouch, a leader in global connectivity services for the connected car and the Internet of Things (IoT).

“This is a critical time for 4C, as we expand our offerings to serve the needs of modern marketers who must reach their audiences seamlessly across all forms of media,” said Lance Neuhauser, CEO, 4C. “Marni will bring a powerful blend of deep knowledge in mobile – the central part of today’s consumer journey – as well as experience serving as CMO of a Fortune 100 company.”

Ms. Walden’s board appointment comes after 4C unveiled the company’s new platform, Scope, the first self-service technology that delivers cross-channel audience insights, campaign activation, and media performance.
